Clint Dempsey and Fulham travel to play Manchester City, while Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur hope to keep pace in the top half of the standings with a win over Liverpool.

Manchester City - Fulham

Clint Dempsey and Fulham take the road to take on the Premier League's top team Manchester City.

Dempsey is a regular starter for Fulham and will be in the starting lineup this weekend.

The Cottagers are coming off a tie against West Bromwich Albion during the week, where Dempsey notched Fulham's only goal of the game. They are currently in 13th place in the standings and hope to jump to the top half of the league with a win this Saturday.

City lost to Everton in their last game and is now tied with Manchester united in points at the top of the league. They will need a win in order to keep pace in the standings.

Mario Balotelli will miss due to suspension, while Moussa Dembele, Orlando Sa, and Mark Schwarzer could miss for the Cottagers.

Liverpool - Tottenham Hotspur

Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur look to continue their fight for Premier League glory with a win over Liverpool on Monday.

Friedel is expected to be in Spurs starting lineup to continue his record streak of consecutive Premier League games.

After losing to Manchester City, Spurs went back to winning ways with victories over Watford in FA cup play and Wigan Athletic in league action.

Tottenham is currently in third place, trailing the league leaders by just five points.

Liverpool is eleven points back from Spurs in the standings, but just one point away from a Europa League spot. They beat Wolverhampton on Tuesday and hope to duplicate that performance against Spurs.

Lucas Leiva, and Jay Spearing should miss for Liverpool, while Tom Huddlestone, Jermain Jenas, and David Bentley look to be sidelined for Spurs.

Wigan Athletic - Everton

Tim Howard and Landon Donovan travel to play Wigan Athletic in a Premier League clash.

Howard and Donovan are both expected to start for the Toffees.

Everton is coming off a win against Manchester City during the week, where Donovan provided his fifth assist in seven games. The Toffees are unbeaten in their last four games.

Wigan has lost five games in a row and is winless in their last nine. They are in last place in the league and pitted in the relegation zone.

Christopher Kirkland is injured for Wigan and looks to miss, while Phil Jagielka, Leon Osman, and Sylvain Distin could be sidelined for the Toffees.

Norwich City - Bolton Wanderers

Zak Whitbread and Norwich City host Bolton Wanderers at Carrow Road.

The center back started and went the distance in their last game and should feature once again this weekend. Tim Ream recently signed with Bolton and could be on the gameday roster.

The Canaries are coming off a loss against Sunderland. Prior to that defeat though, they had gone six games unbeaten. They hope to regain that momentum against Bolton.

Wanderers are on their best run of the season and have clawed their way out of the relegation zone. They have gone four games unbeaten and hope to continue that streak this weekend.

City look to miss Jonathan Howson and Declan Rudd. Stuart Holden continues his rehab and will miss for Bolton alongside Marcos Alonso, Chung-Yong Lee, Sean Davis, and Ricardo Gardner.

Birmingham City - Southampton

Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City look to continue their hot streak at home against Southampton

Spector is a regular starter for the Blues and should feature once again this weekend.

City has won six games in a row and now has a solid playoff spot. They beat Leeds United by a scoreline of 4-1 in their last game and they hope to continue their momentum on Saturday.

Southampton is ahead of City by five points in the standings are trail West Ham United by just two points for the league lead. They are winless in their last three games and hope to get back to winning ways this weekend.

Carlisle United - Chesterfield

Frank Simek and Carlisle United play Chesterfield in a League One matchup.

Simek is a regular starter for United and should feature at defense against Chesterfield.

The Cumbrians are just three points from the last playoff spot, but they lost to Hartlepool last week. That defeat snapped a seven game unbeaten run.

Chesterfield are tied for last place in points and staring at relegation unless they make a dramatic turnaround. After a dismal start to the season they have somewhat improved having won three games in a row in league play.

Notes

Brad Guzan will not feature in Aston Villa's game against Newcastle United, though Eric Lichaj could see some playing time.

George John and Daniel Potts hope to feature in West Ham United's match against Milwall.

Robbie Findley and Nottingham Forest take on Conor Doyle and Derby County in a Championship clash. Neither player is expected to feature.

Robbie Rogers will hope to make the gameday roster for Leeds United when they visit Bristol City on Saturday.

Jon-Paul Pittman and Oxford's home game against FC Barnet over the weekend has been called off due to inclement weather.
