Former University of Massachusetts midfielder Jason Villagomez is currently on trial at LKS Lodz of Poland's top division, the Ekstraklasa.

Gomez, 21, played 70 minutes this week in a friendly win over Korona. Reports out of the Polish press said that Villagomez played well and impressed.

Gomez will now play one more friendly this weekend and the club will decide if they will offer him a new contract.

"Jason Villagomez played one test match on January 18 in a 1-0 win over Korona," LKS Lodz press officer Jaroslaw Paradowski told YA. "[On Saturday] he will play second test match against Bogdanka. After this decision schould be ready."

LKS Lodz are currently involved in a relegation fight and they sit in 14th place in the 16 team league. The bottom two teams are relegated and Lodz sit just one point from safety.

LKS will return to Ekstraklasa action on February 17 when they host Polina Warszawa.
