BRIAN SCIARETTA - Tuesday, January 10, 2012
Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur host Tim Howard, Landond Donovan, and Everton in a Premier League clash at White Hart Lane, while Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City face Ipswich Town.

Tottenham Hotspur - Everton

In a midweek battle of Americans, Brad Friedel and Tottenham Hotspur welcome Tim Howard, Landon Donovan, and Everton to White Hart Lane.

Both teams are coming off an FA Cup weekend where both teams were victorious. Spurs beat Cheltenham easily at home, while Everton took down Tamworth at Goodison Park.

Friedel did not feature for Spurs, but Everton's American duo started and went the distance. All are expected to feature on Wednesday.

The game is Donovan's third since coming in on loan from the Los Angeles Galaxy. His corner kick in the early moments of Everton's FA Cup match with Tamworth resulted in a John Heitinga goal.

The Toffees are in 11th place in the Premier League standings, and a win could bolt them to 9th. They lost their last league game against Bolton, but hope their FA Cup form will spill over to Wednesday.

Spurs could tie Manchester United with a victory on Wednesday for second in the standings. Tottenham have only lost one game in their last 17 in league play.

Aaron Lennon, Tom Huddlestone, and Jermain Jenas look to be sidelined for Tottenham.

Birmingham City - Ipswich Town

Jonathan Spector and Birmingham City take on Ipswich Town in a midweek Championship battle.

Spector started and went the distance in Birmingham City's FA Cup draw against Wolverhampton Wanderers. He should get the start once again on Wednesday.

Cody Cropper is recovering from injury and will not feature for Ipswich.

City are coming off an FA Cup tie, and have only lost one game in their last five in league play. They are in 14th place but could jump to 9th with a win.

Town have only won two games in their last twelve in the Championship. They are just three points from the relegation zone and are in need of points.
