ANDREW VORCE - Wednesday, December 28, 2011
Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu will need to be at their very best if Rangers want to walk away from Celtic Park with a win.

Alejandro Bedoya will be hoping to get a piece of the action but would settle for a place on the bench. Defender Dorin Goian is out after picking up two yellow cards in Saturday's 2-1 defeat at St. Mirren, the same game that Lee McCulloch was shown a straight red card in. Rangers have appealed the card to the Scottish FA which allows McCulloch to play in the Old Firm game.

Celtic could be without James Forrest after the winger pulled up with a hamstring injury in their 2-1 win over Kilmarnock. Georgios Samaras should be fit to play while Adam Matthews and Anthony Stokes have been tested and are ready to go.

Rangers laid down a statement early season by defeating Celtic 4-2 at home, but now the Gers sit only one point above Celtic atop the Scottish Premier League.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
