Sacha Kljestan and Anderlecht look for goals on the road at Mechelen, while Tristan Bowen and Devann Yao look for more playing time with their respective second division clubs.

KV Mechelen - Anderlecht

Looking to defend their lead in the standings, Anderlecht kicks off the Jupiler Pro League weekend on Friday evening on the road at FC Mechelen.

American midfielder Sacha Kljestan can expect to feature in the midfield of coach Ariël Jacobs' starting eleven.

Dealing with a long scroll of an injury list, the Belgian skipper will field a similar squad to the group that failed to score last Sunday in a draw against OH Leuven.

Absentees include the Brazilian pair of Reynaldo and Samuel, Dieumerci Mbokani, Behrang Safari, midfielders Guillermo Molins, Ronald Vargas, and Lucas Biglia.

Winless in their last four games, the "Blood and Gold" gave up a two-goal lead to leave it even last weekend against Lierse SK. Alessandro Cordaro and Julien Gorius did the scoring for the Kakkers.

The trio of Kenny Van Hoevelen, Jonathan Wilmet and Boubacar Diabang will note suit up due to injury on Friday night.

Notes

Tristan Bowen and KSV Roeselare defend their eighth spot and host FC Brussels Saturday.

Devann Yao will look for playing time on Sunday when R. Boussu Dour Borinage travel to KVK Tienen.
