Alejandro Bedoya, Carlos Bocanegra, and Maurice Edu all started but Rangers were unable to secure three points in a disappointing draw against St. Johnstone
Rangers 0 - 0 St. Johnstone
Alejandro Bedoya got a rare start alongside Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu as the Rangers raging season took a slight stutter.
Rangers presented Bocanegra with a commemorative gift before kick off after the US National Team captain played his 100th game for the National Team over the international break.
Bedoya had two looks at goal, one coming from a Kyle Lafferty free kick but Johnstone keeper Peter Enckelman was on hand to smother the chance. The American was thwarted once again by the keeper as his second half header was dealt with.
That was as close as Rangers would come as they both settled for a share of the points. Rangers remain 10 points above Celtic at the top of the Scottish Premier League.
Rangers face Kilmarnock next Sunday.
Dominic Cervi was not missed as Greenock Morton put five past Deveronvale in the Scottish FA Cup to ease into the fourth round, winning 5-1.
