After defeating Honduras on Saturday, the US national team will be facing a much tougher task on Tuesday when it takes on Ecuador at Red Bull Arena in Harrison, New Jersey.

In Tuesday's game the US team used a classy goal from Clint Dempsey in the first half as well several top-notch saves from Tim Howard en route to a 1-0 victory. The win was the first for Jurgen Klinsmann since being hired in August.

The US national team will likely go with a similar lineup against Ecuador but some changes are expected.

In defense, Carlos Bocanegra and Oguchi Onyewu are the likely to be Klinsmann's choices in central defense. Steve Cherundolo continues to be the team's top right back and left back will either go to Timothy Chandler or Jonathan Spector.

In the midfield Michael Bradley will most likely return to he starting eleven and he will be joined by Clint Dempsey in his new number ten role. The other starting midfielders are not as certain but the contenders are Danny Williams, Brek Shea, DaMarcus Beasley, Kyle Beckerman, or Maruice Edu

Up top, Jozy Altidore is certain to start while on the opposite end of the field, Tim Howard will be in goal.

The US team will be facing a very strong team in Ecuador who are coming off a 2-0 win over Venezuela in their first game of 2014 World Cup qualifying. The team used first half goals from Pachuca's Jaime Ayovi and Club America's Christian Benitez to secure three points to start their campaign.

The US national team has won their last two games against Ecuador but they hold a 2-4-4 all-time record against the South American team.

Why not? Altidore failed to find the back of the net Saturday, but played quite well... Both he and Bradley are getting proper time with their clubs and both are in good form at the moment... I see no reason to keep either out of the starting lineup.
