Mason Trafford scored an unfortunate own goal as IFK Mariehamn went down to KuPS in midweek Veikkausliiga play.

Mason Trafford and IFK Mariehamn went down to KuPS in midweek Veikkausliiga action.

Trafford started and went the distance for Mariehamn while Josh Wicks did not feature.

The game started out sour for Trafford and Mariehamn as he scored an own goal in the 5th minute, giving KuPS the early lead.

In the 48th minute Dickson Nwakaeme doubled the lead for KuPS while Sebastian Strandvall got one back for Mariehamn in the 71st minute.

Strandvall's goal was not enough as KuPS went on to win the game.

Mika Hilander, Markus Joenmäki, and Nwakaeme were booked for KuPS while Allan Olesen and Hendrik Helmke were cautioned for Mariehamn.

KuPS next takes on JJK while Mariehamn hosts HJK.
