ANDREW VORCE - Wednesday, September 28, 2011
Carlos Bocanegra and Maurice Edu were joined by Alejandro Bedoya off the bench as Rangers came out winner at home to Kilmarnock.

Late on Monday it was decided that Steven Naismith would have to sit out for two games as the Scottish FA decided to retrospectively decided that the striker acted with violent conduct in Rangers 4-0 drubbing of Dunfermline on Saturday. Usual strike partner Nikica Jelavic was on hand to score the opener, however.

Steven Davis added another assist to his name as his free kick was met by the striker for the opening goal. The 64th minute saw the Bosnian front man side foot his chance home, the goal coming in the 64th minute.

Just two minutes later Gregg Wylde added a second just two minutes later. Edu was directly involved as his clever give and go sent Wylde free. The midfielder made no mistake from inside the area as he rifled his shot home.

Bedoya made his way into the game in the 75th minute as a replacement for Kyle Lafferty. Juan manual Ortiz was the only player booked for Rangers while Gary Fisher, James Fowler, and Dean Shiels were all booked for Kilmarnock. Up next for Rangers is a home game to Hibernian.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
