EXTRA TIME
DAVID SMITH - Friday, September 9, 2011
It will be a clash of Americans as Josh Wicks, Mason Trafford, and Giuseppe Funicello lead IFK Mariehamn against Etchu Tabe and RoPS, while Jeremy Vuolo looks to help AC Oulu get closer to a promotion spot in the Ykkönen.

IFK Mariehamn - RoPS

Josh Wicks, Mason Trafford, and Guiseppe Funicello look to help IFK Mariehamn in their game against Etchu Tabe and RoPS.

Wicks and Trafford both featured in Mariehamn's win over MYPA on Thursday. Both are likely to start against RoPS while Funicello will hope for playing time off the bench.

Tabe started and went the distance for RoPS in their loss to Jaro in the midweek. He looks to start once again for the struggling team.

Mariehamn was on a serious winless skid but came out of it with a shutout win on Thursday. They look to keep that momentum and garner three points this weekend.

RoPS is currently in last place and looking at relegation if they do not start winning. They are seven points from VPS and safety.

Mariehamn's Alexei Fabric Kolkka, Allan Olesen, Marcus Olofsson, and Fernando de Abreu all could miss. RoPS goes into the game injury free.

AC Oulu - Espoo

Jeremy Vuolo and AC Oulu take on Espoo in weekend Ykkönen action.

Vuolo started and went the distance in Oulu's last game against HIFK. He looks to start once again this Saturday.

Oulu is currently in third place and only five points from Lahti who holds the only promotion spot in the Ykkönen. A win this weekend would be crucial for Oulu's promotion hopes.

Espoo is currently in last place and is coming off a tie against PS Kemi. They are deep in the relegation zone and are thirteen points form safety.

Antti Heiskanen and Samuel Carter are carrying injuries and are questionable to play for Espoo.

Oulu goes into the game injury free after a week and a half break for the team.

PS Kemi Kings - KPV

Daniel Stevens and Kyle Luetkehans look to help PS Kemi Kings in their Ykkönen game against KPV.

Stevens and Luetkehans both started in Kemi's last game against Espoo. The American duo is expected to start once again for Kemi.

Kemi is currently in the relegation zone with thirteen points and is ten points from safety. They will need to start garnering wins if they want to play Ykkönen soccer next season.

KPV goes into the game just one point ahead of Kemi and also in the relegation zone. A win is crucial for KPV's hopes of playing in the Ykkönen next season as well.

Kemi's Juhani Himanka and Henri Lousteen are finishing two-game suspensions and will miss the contest.

Notes

Kellan Wilson could get the start for HIFK if starting goalie Walter Viitala cannot go against Jippo.
