Red hot American striker Jozy Altidore and AZ Alkmaar travel to FC Groningen on Sunday while Helmond Sport host FC Eindhoven on Friday evening.

FC Groningen - AZ Alkmaar

Following Thursdays 6-0 rout of Aalesund in the Europa League game on Thursday, AZ travel to the Euroborg Stadium on Sunday afternoon for a match-up against Groningen.

Altidore, who leads the team with three goals in the Eredivisie and five in all competitions, should find himself in the starting eleven for head coach Gertjan Verbeek.

The visitors could be without the services of Ruud Boymans as he continues his recovery from an ankle injury. Goalkeeper Joey Didulica will not be part of the selection due to stiffness in his neck, an injury that has bothered him for several weeks.

Goningen is coming off a disappointing 2-2 draw against NAC Breda last Saturday after holding a 2-0 lead going in to half-time.

Head coach Pieter Huistra relies of 26-year old Swedish midfidler Petter Andersson to lead his team as captain. Huistra should welcome defender Tom Hiariej back in to the equation after he fell ill prior to last weekends game.

Korean Suk Hyun-ran, Nicklas Pedersen and Thomas Enevoldsen did not practice much this week, but are expected to be available on Sunday. Koen van de Laak is the only player whose injuries will prevent him from participating.

Helmond Sport - FC Eindhoven

Helmond Sport returns home to face a stiff test against FC Eindhoven on Friday evening at Stadium De Braak in the cross-town darby.

Charles Kazlauskas will patrol the right side of midfield for head coach Hans de Koning following their victory last weekend.

Helmond Sport will welcome Danish striker Marc Nygaard by to the squad following his recovery from injury, unfortunately Daniel Guijo-Velasco, Zarko Grabovic and Remond Strijbosch are still on the mend for the home team.

Eindhoven are undefeated on the season and currently sitting at the top of the Eerste standings. They are coming off an impressive 3-1 victory against Telstar last Friday at home.

Head coach Ernest Faber will be lead on the field by captain and Dutch midfielder Ivo Rossen. He'll be without the services of defenders Ruud van der Rijt and Frank van Kouwen as they both recover from injury.
