The US U-18 national team played to a draw with Mexico in their second game of the Milk Cup on Wednesday but failed to qualify for the Championship game because of the goals scored tiebreaker.

Mexico took the lead in the in the 12th minute after being awarded a free kick. Cody Cropper made the initial save but Jesus Ruiz was able to send in the rebound.

In first half injury time, the US equalized when DC United's Jalen Robinson converted a corner kick taken by Victor Pineda.

The United Sates, Denmark, and hosts Northern Ireland all finished the first two games of the tournament with identical records of a win and draw along with a plus two goal differential. However, the US finished in third place on the second tiebreaker of goal differential.

The US will play Georgia in the third place game on Friday.
