Josh Gatt and Sean Cunningham will hope to take the field for Molde on Wednesday when they hit the road to face Valerenga with a return to the league's top spot in their eye.

A late goal in their weekend game against Odd Grenland doomed Molde to defeat, and the result meant they fell out of first place in the Tippeligaen standings, although only by goal differential.

They had reeled off four straight wins across league and cup play in the weeks prior, but will need to be on top of their game against a Valerenga team which is enjoying a three-game winning streak heading into the game.

With the two other joint Tippeligaen leaders Tromsø and Aalesunds both ensconced in Europa League qualifying on Thursday, a win would give Molde sole possession of the league's top spot for the time being.

However as Valerenga have been the top defensive team in the league in allowing their opponents a paltry ten goals through 11 games, Ole Gunnar Solskjær's squad will be in for a tough battle which will have little room to spare.

Valerenga have slowly climbed the league standings after a dry spell during the month of May left them in the lower reaches, and with two games in hand over much of the league heading into the contest, will look to a home win as a means for applying pressure to the flock of teams currently fighting for European placement.

Neither team has any players suspended or is reporting any injuries to their squads for the game.
