BEASLEY INKS DEAL WITH PUEBLA FC

BRIAN SCIARETTA - Wednesday, June 22, 2011
The deal to bring American winger Damarcus Beasley to Mexican Premier Division club Puebla FC is now complete.

While it has been rumored for the past few days that Beasley was talking to Pachuca and Puebla, Beasley will now head to Puebla to try to resurrect his career after not seeing much playing time in recent years.

"The new hire of Puebla is the American player Damarcus Beasley," the Puebla media department told YA.

Beasley, 29, will join Puebla after playing with Hannover in Germany's Bundesliga where he was unable to see meaningful minutes at the club.

Beasley is a veteran of three World Cups for the US national team and is most remembered for his energetic play for the 2002 team that advanced to the quarterfinals.

Ivan-

I think that was Donovan you're thinking about. Back to the issue though, I think this is a strange move for Beasley. You gotta think its a money-driven move. If he wanted to change teams for more playing time, I would think he'd go to the MLS.

Wow, Beasley in Mexico? Don't this still hate him for urinating on the field down there a few years ago? That should be interesting for him.
