After picking up a knee injury in Guatemala with the US U-20 national team, 1860 Munich forward Bobby Wood will sit out the final two games of the 2.Bundesliga season.

While the injury is not serious, the coaches at 1860 do not want to take any chances.

"He is not playing now because of the knee injury he had with the national team a few weeks ago" 1860 Munich press officer Lil Zercher told YA. "It is not planned for him to play in either of the last two games. The coaches don't want to take any risks with his knee in these games so they can be sure he will be healthy for next season."

Wood, 18, was enjoying a breakout season for 1860 Munich where is strong play for the reserve team saw him get promoted to first team in January after the winter break.

The German regular season is finished, however a pair of American players still have work to do in the promotion/relegation playoffs.
