Djurgarden's poor start to the Allsvenskan season continued on Tuesday when they allowed two unanswered goals to fall 2-1 to GAIS on the road.

Gale Agbossoumonde started his second straight game in Djurgarden's central defense since joining the club after international duty with the US U-20 national team.

Kennedy Igboananike gave Djurgarden a 1-0 lead when he converted a penalty after Wanderson was called for a handball when he raised his arms while in the wall to deflect a free kick.

Right before the halftime whistle, Eric Bassombeng equalized for GAIS when he collected the ball 40 yards from goal and moved into the box past the defense. The Cameroonian midfielder fired a shot that beat Djurgarden keeper Tommy Vaiho to the near post on the right side.

Mervan Celik scored the winner for GAIS in the 62nd minute when he headed home a long looping free kick from close range.

Djurgarden will look for their first win of the season this Sunday when they host Norrkoping.
