GRELLA LOANED TO SWINDON TOWN
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
Friday, February 25, 2011
After struggling to get playing time this year with Leeds United, Mike Grella has been loaned to Swindon Town for the rest of the season.

The loan will be Grella's second this year after previously playing for Carlisle United where he scored three goals in 11 games.

Grella, 24, was close to joining Scottish Premier League club Motherwell but it was cancelled because league rules prohibit a player from suiting up for three teams in a season.

The former Duke University standout has had problems seeing the field with Leeds but was able to find a spot at Swindon Town because this has been classified as an emergency loan.

"Mike is now with the club until the end of the season," confirmed Swindon Town Communications Manager Chris Tanner to YA.

Grella will hope to make his debut with his new club when they visit Southampton on Saturday.
