Jozy Altidore and Freddy Adu hope to make their respective debuts for their new clubs as Bursaspor host Sivasspor in the Super Lig while Rivespor tangle with Denizlispor in the 1. Lig.
Bursaspor - Sivasspor
Jozy Altidore could make his much-anticipated debut on Friday night when his new club welcome in Sivasspor to Bursa Ataturk Stadium.
It remains to be seen whether or not the newly arrived US international will be slotted up top for Bursaspor at the starting whistle, however most expect Altidore to at least see some action on Friday.
Altidore's loan from Spanish club Villarreal to the defending Turkish league champions was finalized on Monday and the New Jersey native landed at the club on Tuesday to begin the next phase of his career.
The former Hull City man finds himself in the middle of a compelling title chase as Bursaspor are just two points behind league leaders Trabzonspor.
In addition to Altidore, Bursaspor have been bolstered by another new face on the team.
Scottish striker Kenny Miller was acquired two weeks ago from SPL club Rangers where he teamed up with American Maurice Edu for the better part of two-plus seasons at the Glasgow club.
Miller has already endeared himself to the Bursaspor fans by scoring in last week's big 2-0 win over Galatasaray.
They will face a Sivasspor club that is desperate for points as the visitors sit just one point above the drop zone.
Eren Albayrak appears to be injured for Bursaspor while Sivasspor will be missing Abdurrahman Dereli and Tomas Rada.
Rizespor - Denizlispor
Rizespor's quest for promotion to the Super Lig resumes on Saturday at Yeni Rize Sehir Stadi with fresh-faced Freddy Adu eagerly anticipating his first bit of action with his new club.
Adu joined Rizespor on-loan from Benfica during Monday's transfer window.
It marks the fourth club the Maryland native has ventured to on a loan deal in the last two and a half seasons.
The former DC United man may be given his chance to make a difference in the Rizespor attack when they take on Denizlispor.
Unfortunately for Adu, a fall's worth of inactivity may make it hard for Rizespor head coach Umit Kayıhan to slot the 21 year old into the starting lineup, however some minutes off the bench in the second half is a good possibility.
Rizespor are in third place in the 1. Lig and are two coveted points behind Orduspor and Samsunspor in the race for promotion.
Neither club is reporting any injuries.
