JAMIE HILL - Monday, December 20, 2010
Three Americans could see game action in early January as Ligue 1 clubs finally join the Coupe de France draw for the 9th round.

Carlos Bocanegra may play in Saint-Étienne's match against Clermont Foot of Ligue 2, although early cup rounds against lower-division competition are often seen as a chance to rest regular starters.

Sochaux landed a favorable draw when it was paired with Jarville, a club that hails from the 5th division CFA-2.

A cup tilt against amateurs could be a prime opportunity to hand Charlie Davies badly-needed minutes.

Évian Thonon Gaillard emerged from the pot with a much more formidable foe in the form of Olympique Marseille.

While Quentin Westberg has minded the nets in both of Évian's Coupe de France victories this season, Bernard Casoni may give regular starter Bertrand Laquait the starting nod against such high-profile opponents.
