Michael Parkhurst and Nordsjaelland will try to pick up a much-needed three points in their final game before the winter break when they host AC Horsens.

FC Nordsjaelland - AC Horsens

Nordsjaelland will close out a difficult 2010 with their last game before the winter break, needing three points against AC Horsens to guarantee they will enter the winter break free of the relegation zone.

Michael Parkhurst should get the start in central defense alongside Andreas Bjelland as they try to shut down a surprising Horsens team which is currently in fifth place after just being promoted to the Danish top flight.

The Wild Tigers fought back for a dramatic last-second draw against SønderjyskE last weekend thanks to an injury-time goal by Andreas Granskov-Hansen. They will need to be on top of their game throughout the proceedings if they expect to earn a result against Horsens, who have picked up two wins and a draw over their last three league contests.

These two teams met just weeks ago in the quarterfinal of the Danish Cup, and Morten Wieghorst's men can take some confidence from their 1-0 victory which put them through to the semifinal.

While Horsens have struggled in front of goal with the league's worst scoring record of 16 through 18 games, their recent streak has them atop the middle of the pack in the standings in fifth place.

They will be without a number of key players for the game, with defender Nabil Aslam, forward Alioune Kebe and midfielder all out with injuries. In addition, midfielder Martin Spelmann and defender Allan Jepsen are out with card suspensions.

The Wild Tigers have been fortunate on the injury front, and will only be missing midfielder Søren Christensen with a thigh problem.

Notes

Marcus Tracy and Chris Rolfe are both injured and will not suit up for last-place Aalborg on Saturday when they visit Odense BK.
