Eugene Starikov helped FC Tom Tomsk stamp their place in the 2011 Russian Premier League with a win on the road versus FC Sibir Novosibirsk on a frigid Saturday afternoon at Spartak Stadium in Novosibirsk.

Starikov started up front at striker for the guests and went the first 88 minutes before yielding his spot to Kirill Kovalchuk.

Like last week, Tomsk's only goal came from the penalty spot and once again it was Artem Dzuba who scored for the Siberians.

In the 50th minute, Dzuba gathered in a pass in the box and was tangled with Sibir defender Steeve Joseph-Reinette.

The Frenchman brought down Dzuba in the area and the penalty was quickly awarded by the referee.

Starikov had his closest chance to goal in the 79th minute when he took a throw-in from Dzuba and charged toward goal.

The Russian-American forward currently on-loan from Zenit St. Petersburg unleashed a shot that just missed the target.

Starikov and Tomsk will conclude their 2010 season on Sunday when they host ninth place Rostov.
