WOODY BAUM - Friday, October 1, 2010
Pachuca's American trio of Herculez Gomez, Marco Vidal, and Jose Francisco Torres are all likely to see action this Saturday against struggling Atlante while Sammy Ochoa and Estudiantes take on Jaguares on Friday.

Estudiantes – Jaguares

Estudiantes are hoping to recover from their loss last week to Pachuca when they host Jaguares this Friday in Guadalajara.

Estudiantes will use the game as part of their attempt to return to winning ways. Prior to their loss against Pachuca, Estudiantes had successfully strung together a long undefeated stretch that began when Miguel Herrera took over as head coach. The team will look to remain hot, despite the recent setback.

Sammy Ochoa is projected to start despite coming in as a substitute last week.

Estudiantes will be without Fredy Bareira, who was shown a red card last week. Mario Rodriguez and Gustavo Cabral are injured and will also miss the game.

Jaguares will be without Ismael Fuentes who is out with an injury.

Atlante – Pachuca

Pachuca will hope to for their first series of back-to-back wins this Saturday when they visit relegation threatened Atlante .

On paper the game would appear to be an easy three points for Pachuca with a dysfunctional Atlante having suffered coaching changes, personnel changes and general disorganization all season long.

Marco Vidal will look to start for the third consecutive week. The Dallas native has played a full 90 in each of the past two games where he has anchored the midfield.

Jose Francisco Torres is projected to start after being left out of last week's game and Herculez Gomez will look to add to his season's goal tally after scoring his first goal of the season last weekend.

Notes

Edgar Castillo and San Luis host Tigres on Saturday.
