WOODY BAUM - Thursday, September 23, 2010
Pachuca's American trio of Marco Vidal, Jose Francisco Torres and Herculez Gomez take on Sammy Ochoa and Estudiantes in what could be turning point for both teams.

Pachuca Estudiantes

Pachuca hopes to end its losing ways when it hosts Estudiantes, who are looking to continue their winning momentum, in a game that could feature four Americans at once on Saturday.

Pachuca have been unable to win since head coach Guillermo Rivarola resigned, and the Tuzos' playoff hopes will be all but out of reach if they fail to secure three points.

Estudiantes, on the other hand, have been on a roll since Eduardo Acevedo took control of the club mid-season.

Torres is expected to regain his starting spot, while Vidal also looks to start for the third week in a row.

Gomez should see time as a second half substitute as he has done all season long.

Ochoa looks to have been relegated to the bench, but he should expect to see time in the second half as he was used last week.

Elgabry Rangel is out suspended for Estudiantes, while Mario Rodriguez is expected to be out injured.

Pachuca should have their entire line up available.

Notes

Edgar Castillo will hope to see time off the bench as San Luis visit Jaguares on Saturday.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
