Saint Etienne Coach Christophe Galtier will hope his team can translate their scintillating league play to the Coupe de la Ligue when Les Verts host Nice at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard on Wednesday.

American veteran defender Carlos Bocanegra has become a fixture at left back for his new club, starting and playing every minute in the past four games including last Saturday's 3-0 win over Montpellier.

With most eyes on next Saturday's game against Lyon, Saint Etienne will have to stay focused on a difficult Nice team.

The Côte d'Azur club may have sold off star winger Löic Rémy to Marseille in the offseason, but they have climbed to a respectable seventh place in Ligue 1 after a string of ties and a notable win over Bordeaux.

Galtier has most of the squad at his disposal after last week's return of Loic Perrin and Gonzalo Bergessio but Boubacar Sanogo is still unavailable.
