Sammy Ochoa saw the field for the third consecutive game while Edgar Castillo has since his minutes increase in each game with San Luis.

Pachuca 0 – 3 Santos

Pachuca suffered a humiliating home defeat to Santos on Saturday in what was a battle of two unbeaten teams in the tournament.

Santos showed their superiority from the start when Darwin Quintero scored from a header off a pass from Carlos Morales in the 23rd minute.

Morales followed up for Santos in the 57th minute after dribbling past two Pachuca defenders and shooting from inside the area.

Morales then scored his second of the day in the 82nd minute when Miguel Calero came off his line to anticipate a pass from Morales.

However the attacker held onto the ball and shot past Calero to score the third goal for Santos.

It was a dominating performance by the visitors as Santos has now scored 11 goals in three games this tournament.

Pachuca were without Jose Francisco Torres who is still out with an ankle injury.

Marco Vidal did not play, while Herculez Gomez entered in the 67th minute. Gomez was able to get off a shot on goal but his shot was received by Santos keeper Oswaldo Sanchez.

Pachuca next visits Cruz Azul on Saturday.

San Luis 0 – 1 Chivas

San Luis dropped an important home game to Chivas on Saturday.

Marco Fabian was able to give Chivas the lead in the 20th minute with an incredible shot from outside the area.

Down a goal, Edgar Castillo entered the game in the 35th minute in order to add some offensive fire power. The move almost paid dividends as he led several dangerous plays before the end of the first half.

San Luis had several chances to tie the game, but the Chivas defense proved to be too resilient.

Castillo and company will host Morelia next Saturday.

Estudiantes 1 – 3 Puebla

Estudiantes dropped a crucial home game to Puebla on Sunday as they continue to seek their first point of the season.

Puebla took the lead in the 11th minute when Alvaro Gonzalez connected on a cross from Yasser Corona.

Corona notched his second assist of the day shortly after in the 19th minute when his cross found Gabriel Pereyra who was able to head it in.

Estudiantes came within one two minutes later when Mauro Cejas was able to convert a penalty after Fredy Bareiro was taken down in the area.

American Sammy Ochoa entered in the 20th minute and came close to converting several opportunities.

Puebla doubled their lead in the 87th minute when Edgar Lugo received a pass in the area and shot towards the right post and past the Estudiantes keeper.

Estudiantes will visit cross-town rivals Chivas next week.
