PREVIEW: WEEKEND MEXICAN ACTION
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
WOODY BAUM - Friday, August 6, 2010
Jose Francisco Torres looks to make an impact when Pachuca hosts Santos while Edgar Castillo will try to make it two in a row as he attempts build on his scoring effort last week.

Pachuca – Santos
Jose Francisco Torres and Pachuca will look to maintain their undefeated record as they host Santos on Saturday as well as aim to avenge a previous loss to Santos that they suffered last tournament at home.

Francisco Torres hopes to play again after missing last week's game due to an injury, while Herculez Gomez and Marco Vidal will look to increase their playing time after coming on as second half substitutes in the first and second game respectively.

Pachuca will be hosting a dangerous Santos Team that has humiliated its opponents in the first two games by an aggregate score of seven goals to one.

The offense, led by Darwin Quintero and Daniel Ludueña will prove a tough task for the Pachuca offense, although Pachuca will be aided by the return of Daniel Manso, who was suspended last week.

San Luis – Chivas
San Luis will look for its first win of the season when it hosts Chivas on Saturday as Edgar Castillo makes his case for more playing time after scoring the loan goal in San Luis' loss last week against Puebla.

San Luis will be facing a strong Chivas team who recently earned a berth into the finals of the Copa Libertadores by beating Universidad de Chile in Chile.

Chivas will have to deal with a weakened squad due to the numerous injuries suffered by Sergio Avila, Jorge Enriquez, Omar Arellano, Omar Esparza, and Alberto Medina. San Luis will have their entire lineup available.

Estudiantes – Puebla

Sammy Ochoa and Estudiantes host Puebla in Guadalajara on Sunday as they look for their first points of the current tournament.

Estudiantes are coming of a loss in an exciting match up against Monterrey in which they played their best soccer of the season.

Sammy Ochoa, who has appeared as a substitute in both games this tournament, will hope see increased playing time on Sunday as he appears to be winning over the confidence of new head coach Miguel Herrera.

Estudiantes will take on a Puebla squad that recently defeated San Luis at home, however their visitors will be without Angel Partida who recently underwent surgery on his knee.
