PREVIEW: MONDAY SWEDISH ACTION
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
JON VAN WAGENEN - Sunday, August 1, 2010
Alejandro Bedoya will have a few new teammates as Örebro looks to continue building momentum while reloading as they take on Åtvidaberg Monday while Ryan Miller and Halmstad travel to Trelleborg.

Åtvidaberg - Örebro

Midfielder Bedoya and company hope the spark of a few new players will lead to three points when they play away at Åtvidaberg on Monday.

Despite completing their best first half of a season in over a decade, Örebro has added a few new bodies to the mix.

Midfielder Astrit Ajdarevic, with three goals in 38 minutes played seems to be carving a niche out for himself, especially with an injured Fredrick Nordback.

Central midfielder Denis Abdulahi, of the Finnish U21 national team joins the Örebro squad, after a trial in June. Robin Staaf was loaned to the Superettan's Ängelholms FF.

Irish forward Anthony Flood, 26, joins the team after a trial last week. He may take the place of recently departed veteran Dane Kim Olsen.

Olsen scored in the teams' earlier meeting this season, which Örebro won at home.

Michael Almebäck is suspended for Örebro.

Åtvidaberg hasn't handled promotion to the Allsvenskan well, they are at the bottom of the standings, three points behind both Gefle and AIK.

Eric Jangholm-Melin, Anton Tinnerholm, Dejan Doslic, and Christoffer Karlsson will miss the game with injuries for the home team.

Trelleborg - Halmastad

After winning against IFK Göteborg, Halmstad needs to change the lineup that has recently excluded Ryan Miller due to the suspension of central back Tomas Zvirgzdauskas.

Emil Salomonsson has been impressive as the starting right back after moving from the midfield. He has shown an impressive ability to run and create chances in Miller's usual domain.

Trelleborg are two points above the relegation zone and two points behind Halmstad, so a win for Halmstad would help strengthen there position as a mid-table team.

Trelleborg managed a 2 -1 victory over Gefle in the last match.

A big question for U.S. fans heading into the World Cup is surely on Jozy Altidore and just what is plaguing the young striker at Sunderland.
