MEGHAN BRENNAN - Tuesday, June 29, 2010
Back from international break, Hønefoss striker Kenneth DiVita Jensen will square off against fellow American and Sarpsborg keeper Colin Burns in a round three Norwegian Cup match Wednesday.

Orginially scheduled for June 10th, the game had to be moved due to a worker's strike at county owned and operated Sarpsborg Stadion.

DiVita Jensen will likely start on the front line and Burns between the pipes, as both did in the previous round's play.

Hønefoss Keeper Steve Clark returns from the break fully recovered from his quad injury and continues his fight for the starting position.

Both Hønefoss and Sarpsborg earned the right to play in round three via hard fought battles with 2. Division clubs. Round two saw Hønefoss squeak by Valdres in penalty kicks while Sarpsborg barely come out on top of a 2-1 victory over Asker.

A win by 1. Division Sarpsborg would mark the advance of a mere eight Eliteserien teams into the next round and narrowing field of 16.

Eliteserien teams Lillestrøm, Stabæk, Ålesund and Molde all fell victim to the excitement and tenacity of lower division teams, a typical characteristic of the Norwegian Cup.
