Babajide Ogunbiyi and Viborg will try to carry the momentum of last weekend's impressive win into Wednesday's contest in Vejle, who will continue to be without injured defender Euan Holden.
The midweek Greens versus Reds battle features two teams who have had significant troubles to successfully win games throughout the spring term.
Viborg quickly fell out of contention for promotion thanks to their dismal three wins over 11 league games in 2010, while Vejle's embarrassing one in twelve tries has seen them drop through the standings where they are now mathematically at risk of relegation.
Babajide and his teammates finally showed signs of life over the weekend in the most ostentatious manner when the Greens put on a virtuoso performance to knock off already-crowned champions Horsens by a single goal.
As Vejle has managed only a single tally to their name over the previous 400 minutes of play, the Viborg defense should theoretically have little trouble shutting down the Reds' anemic attack.
Vejle continue to be without Holden as he recovers from groin surgery as well as a number of other players, as midfielders Joseph Akinola, Azer Busuladzic, Martin Borre and Sedin Alic are all out due to various knocks, as is forward Henrik Andersen.
Viborg coach Lars Søndergaard has the advantage of a nearly healthy squad, with midfielder Marc Dal Hende and defender Jonas Thorsen the only question marks as the game approaches.
A draw would be enough to effectively eliminate Vejle's minuscule chance of relegation, while Viborg is still in position to push as high as fifth place before the season's close, as they have a pair of games in hand to make up.
