Helmond Sport will face FC Den Bosch on Monday evening in the first leg of the Jupiler League playoffs.

Helmond, who finished a mere point ahead of AGOVV Apeldoorn for the eighth and last spot, will battle seventh place Den Bosch on Monday evening at home before returning the favor with a trip away from home on Thursday.

Charles Kazlauskas will start in the midfield for head coach Jürgen Streppel in the quick turnaround following Friday's victory over FC Emmen that put the home team in the playoff race.

The home team could be without midfielder Daniël Guijo-Velasco as his wife is due to give birth today, which would rule him out of the game.

Defender Jeroen Veldmate and striker Joost Habraken will be unavailable for Helmond due to injury, but midfielder Sjaak Lettinga expects to be available despite his lingering recovery from a groin injury.

The "Blue White Dragons" head coach Marc Brys will welcome back Dutch midfielder Paco van Moorsel from suspension, as he'll team up with captain Steef Nieuwendaal in the middle of the field.

Unfortunately the visitors will start the playoffs without starting defender Jordens Peters who was injured in their 5-1 loss on Friday to Excelsior and had to be replaced in just the 16th minute.

In late November these two teams faced off and Helmond won at home 2-1 while in early March Den Bosch won by the same score as the home team.
