Alejandro Bedoya and Örebro began their 2010 Allsvenskan in style while Ryan Miller and Halmstads slugged out a scoreless draw against Trelleborgs.

Örebro 2- 0 Åtvidaberg

Örebro and Alejandro Bedoya welcomed Åtvidaberg to the top division by teaching them a few lessons with two first half goals.

Bedoya, a midfielder in a 4-3-3, was given the freedom to roam all over the field. From the right side-line to the left, endline to endline, he played an important role in buildup and attack.

Marcus Astvald opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with Samuel Wowoah's cross on a counter attack finding him open in the box on a counter attack.

Five minutes later, Örebro's fast attack struck again as Bedoya used a give and go to get a step inside the box. His attempt to set a teammate up was interupted by the Åtvidaberg defense, but ended up at the feet of Kim Olsen who slotted it home.

Bedoya was able to create setup other dangerous situations for the team. Just after halftime, he drew a yellow from Kristian Bergström and a free kick from the top of the box.

In the 66th minute he found Kim Olsen with a perfect cross right between two defenders at the top of six yard box. Olsens' missed header would have been costly in a closer match.

Örebro travel to Malmö on the 23rd, Åtvidaberg will host Gefle next.

Halmstads BK 0 -0 Trelleborgs FF

Ryan Miller was a 90 minute man at right back in a defensive match between two teams with reputations for having strong defenses.

Viktor Noring, the Trelleborgs goalkeeper was the man of the match, saving the match's two most threatening attempts.

Halmstads first shot on goal came from recent substitute Marcus Olsson in the 55th. The 21-year old's shot from the left side was knocked away.

Michael Gorlitz in the 66th minute took a one touch shot from distance that Noring was able to block with two hands.
Trelleborgs generated just three shots, none on goal.

Miller obviously was part of a the defensive effort and even attempted a shot. Fellow yank, Michael Thomas did not make the bench.

The 0-0 result was the most common one in a conservative week for Swedish soccer, as eight teams are now tied for fifth place, with one point and no goals.

Next week, Trelleborg will look to warm up as Kalmar visits, while Halmstad will be at Elfsborg.

Ryan Miller to SA 2010 =)

Would say that Viktor Noring was not the man of the match, a more accurat report would be that Halmstads BK was the better team but highly inaffective infront of goal.

Ryan Miller did a good job as right back, he was however a bit to offensiv from time to time and this opend up a hole on the right side of the defense.

ALY BEDOYA TO SA2010! If we can keep the guy away from types like Nigel "I will put your career in jeopardy!" De Jong, then he's got a bright, bright future.

Any word about how the younger Bedoya is impressing at Orebro?
