Helmond Sport continued their struggles in January, picking up their second loss in three games on Friday night at Mitsubishi Forklift Stadion against FC Omniworld.

Helmond head coach Jürgen Streppel put Charles Kazlauskas on the right side of midfield and the American went the full 90 minutes as the game was played with an orange ball as light snow fell throughout the evening.

A nice sequence of passing in the 72nd minute lead to the only goal of the game for the home team, to pull them further away from the bottom of the Jupiler League standings.

Midfielder Sander Duits played a give-and-go before sliding past the stagnant Helmond defense in to the penalty area. The midfielder calmly finished past a charging Robert Van Westerop.

Helmond will head home next weekend as they face FC Zwolle.
