Pearce looks to be out at Hansa
Hansa Rostock head coach Frank Pagelsdorf has stated that American Heath Pearce has played his final game for the northern German squad.
"[Pearce] will not be selected again," Pagelsdorf told YA. "The player is free to leave Hansa provided we receive a fee which meets our valuation."
Neither Pagelsdorf nor team officials would comment on the clubs' reasoning, but published reports in Germany suggest that the American's startling axe was the result of a confrontation over a €1,500 fine that was handed down to US international when he returned late for training after spending the holidays in California.
Pearce, understandably, is also staying tight-lipped, telling YA only, "I have no comment at this time."
"I hope that both parties can solve the problem amicably and move forward."
Pearce who joined Hansa Rostock in August with a two-year contract, is a rumored replacement for countryman Ian Joy at St. Pauli who left the Reeperbahn Boys for the MLS franchise in Salt Lake City.
