HILL KEEPING BUSY DESPITE LULL

VfL Wolfsburg and USMNT attacker Kamani Hill, who has seemingly been frozen out of the reckoning under new head coach Felix Magath, is not letting this season's disappointment change his mentality.

It is a challenge for any player to play under new management and a coach that didn't sign them," the former UCLA Bruin told YA.

"I can't do anything but put my head down, focus on training and be ready for any opportunity that comes my way."

Hill, who signed in November 2006 under former Wolves head coach Klaus Augenthaler, made 11 appearances for the Lower Saxon club last season after becoming eligible in January 2007.

However, after Augenthaler was shown the door and former Bayern Munich boss Magath took the reins, the American has not had a sniff of action at either the Bundesliga or the Regionalliga teams after Wolfsburg spent a gargantuan €27 million over the summer - despite two appearances for the national team since June.

"At the moment I only train which is obviously not the ideal situation for me," Hill said.

"On the bright side, we have double days three times a week and sometimes have a gym session at 7.30 before the two trainings. Usually one training is only running."

"My fitness its still good."

Without Hill a factor, Wolfsburg sit 12th in the standings in the Bundesliga, while the Regionalliga squad struggle deep in the drop zone to the Oberliga.
