PHILIPAKOS DEBUT DELAYED AGAIN
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
CHAD WINGER - Thursday, November 18, 2004
The wait continues for Olympiakos' American midfielder Peter Philipakos, as the 21 year old has yet to be cleared for training ahead of next week's Champions League home tilt against Spanish power Deportivo La Coruña.

"Pete's out of the Depor match - not enough time," a spokesman for Philipakos told YA Thursday.

"He still hasn't started training and best case scenario would be training at the end of this week - but that still would not be enough time for him to be ready for the match."

Olympiakos currently sit atop the Group A standings level on points with Premiership side Liverpool at 7 apiece, but have the advantage due to the 1-0 victory over the Anfield outfit in late September.

"He's somewhat disappointed in that this is the last home match of the group stage, but he and the team are very confident they'll get out of the group and have more to play."
