MICHAEL ADUBATO - Tuesday, January 19, 2021
Overall it was a weekend to forget as the American players in the Netherlands were either absent from the roster, the field or played minimal minutes in both Eredivisie and Eerstedivisie action.

Below is a very short recap of the results of the games however. With Dutch Cup games being played midweek, we'll hope to see some of the Dutch Yanks taking part.

Luca de la Torre started this game on the bench but was into action immediately after the intermission in this Heracles road game at Utrecht. The visitors lost 2-0 but will try once again when they host Heerenveen over the week but first they must travel to Rotterdam to take on Feyenoord in a Dutch Cup game.

Heerenveen drew 1-1 against Venlo but Ulysses Llanez didn't make the bench for this stalemate. They have a Cup game on Wednesday night against Desevio Payne and FC Emmen before their next league game against Luca de la Torre and Heracles.

Mael Corboz was not on hand as his Go Ahead Eagles registered a 3-0 home win against Maastrict over the weekend. The win puts them in fifth place. Next up will be a Thursday night trip to take on Venlo in a Dutch Cup clash. They'll return to league action on Monday with another trip, this time to Amsterdam to take on Ajax II.

Sebastian Soto wasn't needed, so remained on the bench as his Telstar team came away 4-1 winners against TOP Oss over the weekend. The win leaves them in eighth place, the final play-off spot as they reach the half-way point of the season. Telstar's next game will be against Alkmaar II.

Desevio Payne was not on the team sheet as FC Emmen fell to Vitesse Arnhem, 4-1 at home. The loss, Emmen's fourth in a row, leaves them rooted to last place in the Eredivisie standings. Up next is a clash against Heerenveen.

Alex Mendez was an unused sub for Ajax II's 2-1 victory against Utrecht II on Monday evening. Their next game however will be against Go Ahead Eagles and Mael Corboz.

Chris Gloster was not named to the game day roster on Monday when his PSV II side eeked out a 1-1 tie against NAC Breda. Friday night they'll hit the road to take on Cambuur.
