MICHAEL ADUBATO - Tuesday, November 10, 2020
Nicolas Gioacchini was the hero of the game for Caen as they snatched all the points in stoppage time thanks to the American attacker.

Caen 2-1 Nancy

The Kansas City native started the game on the bench and watched as his team surrendered a goal to Nancy before the visitors shot themselves in the foot and scored an own goal a few minutes later.

In the 80th minute, Gioacchini came onto the field for Caen, who have only scored three goals in their last four games. Four minutes into stoppage time the home team broke forward and the American beat Baptiste Valette in the Nancy goal. After the international break, the team will travel up the coast to take on Le Havre.

Note

Tim Weah came off the bench and played for 15 minutes but his Lille side still fell to Brest by 3 goals to 1. Despite the loss, they still find themselves in second place behind PSG. After the international break, they'll go at it again, this time at home against Lorient.

Patrick Koffi did not suit up for Paris as the Ligue 2 team continued to roll over the competition, beating Dunkerque 1-0. The Parisians have only dropped four points all season and have opened up a seven-point gap between themselves and Troyes. Next up will be a home game against Auxerre.
