MICHAEL ADUBATO - Wednesday, January 29, 2020
Chris Durkin was the only American to see significant action in Belgium over the weekend as the rest of the contingent is either out injured or not in the plans of their respective coaches.

Mouscron 1-3 Sint-Triuden

American midfielder Chris Durkin took part in the Canaries away victory in Wallonia. See Michael Adubato's Press Box Report.

Ethan Horvath's Club Brugge travelled south to take on Brendan Hines Ike's KV Kortrijk on Sunday afternoon. Unfortunately, neither of the Americans saw any action. Hines Ike is still missing from the line-up due to injury and Horvath is still missing from the line-up due to Simon Mignolet.

It was an entertaining game where the league leaders were held to a 2-2 draw after having been up by two goals. The Kerels fought back scoring a few minutes before and a few minutes after the intermission to claim a valuable point.

Kortrijk will stay at home on Friday evening when they will welcome fourth place Standard Liege. Hines-Ike will be assessed before the game to determine if he will take part.

Club have a midweek game on Wednesday night when they travel to take on Sporting Charleroi and then head home for a Sunday matinee against third place Royal Antwerp. Nobody is expecting Horvath to take part unless the Club number one gets a bout of the flu.

Isiah Young played the last ten minutes as visitors Lommel held their St Gilloise hosts to a 2-2 draw, thus sharing the points. Union took an early lead but then watched two balls end up in the back of their net before a fighting comeback and an 86th minute goal. Next up for Union is a weekend trip to take on Sporting Lokeren.

Ethan Bryant didn't suit up for KSV Roeselare's 1-1 result against Westerlo, but will get another chance this weekend when they travel to take on OH Leuven.

Kenny Saief is still in purple limbo as he hasn't suited up all season for Anderlecht. The Brussels team travelled to Brugge to take on Cercle and fond themselves behind to the last place team after a half hour. They did however fight back and score the game winner deep in extra time. They'll play at home on Sunday against Royal Excel Mouscron.
