SAIEF TO STAY AT ANDERLECHT
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
KENYA BROWN - Wednesday, May 23, 2018
Kenny Saief's loan move to Belgian Jupiler Pro League team Anderlecht has now become permanent as it was announced on Wednesday that he has transferred from Gent.

The Florida-born midfielder, who started his career in Israel, made the move to Belgium in August 2014 when he signed a three-year-contract with Gent. During his time with the team he played in 81 games and scored 13 goals.

Following a hernia operation last year that sidelined him for most of the first half of the Belgian season, Saief made the loan move to the capital team which his former Gent coach, Hein Vanhaezebrouck, now oversees. He would go on to feature in 17 games and score one goal in the second half of the season as the team finished in third place to qualify for the Europa League.

Saief was not named among the 22 players on the US national team roster for their May 28 friendly against Bolivia.
