YOUNG AMERICANS GET SCHALKE CALL-UP
RECAPS
EXTRA TIME
KENYA BROWN - Thursday, May 18, 2017
Schalke youth players Haji Wright and Weston McKennie will be with the first team this weekend as both were called up for the team's final game of the Bundesliga season.

The two young Americans, who have played with Schalke's Under-19 team this season, will be with the team when they head to the Audi-Sportpark on Saturday to face Alfredo Morales and relegated Ingolstadt. The Royal Blues are not in danger of relegation nor are they in the hunt for a European place, so the move to bring them up to the first team for this game makes sense.

Both players have impressed during their time with U-19 team, with Wright scoring 12 goals in 26 appearances and McKennie putting away four himself in 21 games.

After a slow start to the season, Schalke has a good chance of finishing in the ten of the Bundesliga standings if they can get the win over Ingolstadt.
