KENYA BROWN - Tuesday, April 18, 2017
Emerson Hyndman notched an assist in Rangers win over Partick Thistle while it was mixed bag of results for other Americans playing across Europe over the weekend.

Rangers scored in both halves to secure a 2-0 win over Partick Thistle at Ibrox Stadium

Hyndman was in the starting lineup for the Light Blues and once again played well in the midfield.

Kenny Miller opened the scoring for the host in the 39th minute as headed in his shot off a pass from teammate James Tavernier.

Rangers had several chances to further their lead with efforts from Myles Beerman, Jon Toral and Danny Wilson, Martyn Waghorn and Hyndman, but they were well saved by Partick goalkeeper Tomas Cerny.

However, there was no stopping Rangers from scoring their second in the 54th minute as Hyndman setup Toral to put his effort in the back of the net.

Rangers finished the first phase of the season in third place with 58 points. It will be an interesting two weeks ahead for the team as they face Celtic in the Scottish Cup semifinal on April 23 followed by a game in the Championship Group in the second phase on April 29.
