RAMOS NAMES DALLAS CUP TEAM

US U-20 head coach Tab Ramos has named his roster for the Dallas Cup tournament which will being over the weekend.

The tournament will be the first major test for the U-20 team this cycle it is in a group with River Plate, Eintracht Frankfurt, and UANL Tigres of Mexico.

The team features many top starters although some regulars including Russell Canouse and Junior Flores were not able to take part with club commitments. Emerson Hyndman is normally with the U-20s but will instead play for his club, Fulham, at the tournament.

Leading the U.S. team will be Rubio Rubin who has joined FC Utrecht and Kellyn Acosta who is the loan player to have been on the roster for the 2013 U-20 World Cup. Among this current group, Sporting Kansas City defender Erik Palmer-Brown is eligible for both the 2015 and 2017 U-20 World Cup.

The U.S. will open play on Sunday, April 13 against River Plate.

Yes, he has signed on with them. But cant register to play games until July. Look for Brian's piece on him.
