Several American internationals were in action this weekend for Major League Soccer. Here are a few of the highlights:

Landon Donovan was held short of the MLS scoring record again Saturday as the Los Angeles Galaxy stole a point on the road against Kyle Beckerman and Real Salt Lake 1-1. Robbie Keane equalized after Costa Rican international Álvaro Saborío opened up the scoring for the home side.

Jermaine Defoe scored his third goal of the season for Toronto FC as the Reds defeated Eddie Johnson and DC United 1-0. Johnson has yet to score this season for DC, who have yet to secure a point, or score a goal this season. American international Michael Bradley banged heads with United's Davy Arnaud. Bradley had to be bandaged up but was able to continue and went the full 90.

Graham Zusi won Man of the Match as Sporting Kansas City defeated the San Jose Earthquakes 1-0 on a penalty conversion by Dom Dwyer. Zusi was all over the field and created several chances for the defending MLS Cup champs. Earthquake forward Chris Wondolowski nearly equalized in the 71st minute, but his shot flew just wide of the post.
