After struggling to earn minutes with Stoke City FC so far this season, American winger Brek Shea will head out on a short loan to Barnsley of the English Championship.
The duration of the loan is for 28 days.
Shea, 22, last saw action for Stoke City in early December but minutes have been few are far between for the former FC Dallas left winger. Since joining Stoke earlier in the year, he has made just three appearances for the Premier League club.
He will now head to Barnsley who could use the help. Now New Year's Day, Barnsley sit in last place in the Championship and have scored just 20 goals in 23 games. It is currently five points from safety.
Shea will likely make his debut on New Years Day when Barnsley take on Birmingham City.
