After helping to guide Bodo/Glimt to promotion while on loan from the Montreal Impact, Zarek Valentin has signed a permanent deal for the Norwegian club.

Valentin, 22, confirmed the new two-year deal in a text message to YA.

As a long-time veteran of U.S youth national teams, Valentin has played internationally for the U-20, and U-23 teams.

Last year was a steady year for Valentin who was the starting right back for Bodo/Glimt who coasted to promotion to Norway's top flight, the Tippeligaen.

The Lancaster, PA native last season started 27 games last season and is expected to be the starter again in 2014. Bodo/Glimt will open the new season on March 29 when it hosts Aalesund.
