A contrast of styles will be on display Monday when Charles Kazlauskas and sixth-place Helmond Sport host fourth-place Willem II.
Helmond are on a steady ascent up the Eerste Divisie standings thanks largely to a prolific offense which ranks second in the league goals scored with 33 through 16 games.
On the other half of the field, Willem have established their reputation as a defensive juggernaut this year. Having allowed only 16 goals in the same amount of games, Willem have been particularly impressive lately, with three shutouts in their last five, and only allowing multiple goals once in their last six games.
Despite Willem's defensive prowess, Helmond's backline will have to be alert to the threat posed by Ruud Boymans. The former AZ striker has been a revelation in his first season for Willem, with 12 goals thus far.
Suspensions forced Kazlauskas to move up from his customary right back slot into a holding midfield position last weekend.
Moving around is nothing new to the ever versatile Kaz. The Milwaukee native has started at right back 10 times this season, defensive midfield six times, and even deputized at center back in the course of a game this season.
In addition, Kazlauskas has not been off the field for a single minute of Helmond's campaign thus far.
