JACOB CHAMBLISS - Friday, November 8, 2013
Kevin Hoyos and CD Victoria take on fourth-place Deportivo Saiva and will be looking to drag themselves from the basement of the Honduran league with three valuable points.

Hoyos, a United States and Argentina dual national, will be looking to end his scoring streak as he pushes his team up the standings.

Victoria currently sit in ninth place in the league on 21 points. While they remain only one spot away from rock bottom in the standings, they also are tied with four other teams on points. A win would separate Victoria from the bottom of the group before the Honduran league breaks until January.

The offensive spark that Hoyos showed in the summer and early fall has cooled, as Victoria were unable to muster a goal in their 1-0 loss to Parillas One on November 2, and scored in their game Thursday only after they had been given a soft penalty decision against Montagua. Leandro Guaita was able to convert the spot kick, but Montagua equalized in the second half thanks to an excellent free kick from Carlos Israel Discua.

Kickoff is slated for 3pm CT.
