MICHAEL ADUBATO - Friday, August 16, 2013
Anderlecht heads north to take on 10th place Waasland-Beveren at Freethiel Stadion on Sunday afternoon in Pro League action.

Sacha Kljestan is back in town after putting in a shift for the US National Team in Sarajevo and will take up his place in the central midfield for the reigning Belgian champions. Somebody who will not be featuring on Sunday or ever is Czech Lukáš Mareček. The rarely used midfielder has just sealed a deal to head back home as les Mauves have sold the 23-year-old to Sparta Prague. The team has just signed Aleksandar Mitrovic from Partizan Belgrade as well but the Serbian international will not travel to Brussels until the end of the month. Ronald Vargas continues on the road to recovery after undergoing knee surgery late last month.

The Flemish team is reporting no new injuries or suspensions so Coach Glen De Boeck who capped 36 times for Belgium during his playing career, will have a full compliment of players to choose from.

While Anderlecht thrashed Gent last weekend 4-1, Waasland-Beveren ended this game against KV Mechelen all knotted up in a scoreless draw.

I hate to be the harbinger of bad news, ladies and gentlemen, but Michael Orozco will start for the US men's national team in Jacksonville.
