Real Salt Lake midfielder Kyle Beckerman has been called up by United States coach Jürgen Klinsmann for the upcoming qualifier against Honduras.

Beckerman, captain for Real Salt Lake, has made 25 appearances for the United States, scoring one goal. Beckerman joins fellow Salt Lake teammate Nick Rimando in a game on their own home field in Sandy, Utah.

"The call up is a testament to all the hard work he puts in," a team spokesman told YA. "It's great for our fans and for our club. This is a great opportunity for Kyle (Beckerman) and Nick (Rimando) to be a part of the US squad in what should be a great qualifier in Rio Tinto stadium."
