Brad Guzan and Aston Villa managed a point in their game against Fulham, while Geoff Cameron's Stoke City continue their downward spiral as they lost to Manchester United at home.

Aston Villa 1-1 Fulham

Brad Guzan and Aston Villa missed a golden chance to extend their distance from the relegation zone as they tied Fulham at home.

The American ‘keeper went the distance while Eric Lichaj did not make the game day roster for the Villains.

After a scoreless first half, Villa opened the scoring in the 56th minute when Charles N'Zogbia left footed a shot into the far side of the net after a poor clearance from the Fulham defense.

However, the Cottagers leveled the game in the 66th minute as Bryan Ruiz' corner kick was headed in by Villa's Fabian Delph, to the dismay of the home faithful.

In the 89th minute Villa's offensive machine Christian Benteke nearly gave the home team the lead and win but his shot went off the side netting.

Villa keeps their three point cushion above the drop zone. They take on Manchester United next week at Old Trafford.

Stoke City 0-2 Manchester United

Geoff Cameron and Stoke City went down to Manchester United and now find themselves just three points above the relegation zone.

Cameron played the full ninety minutes at right back for Stoke, while Brek Shea did not dress.

A goal in each half by United was enough to defeat Stoke, as the Potters have not lost six out of their last seven games.

The opener came in just the fourth minute when a United corner kick lead to a Michael Carrick goal.

In the 66th minute Stoke's Andy Wilkinson took down Robin Van Persie in the box and was called for the penalty. The Dutch star buried the ensuing penalty kick and doubled their lead.

Stoke, now in the thick of the relegation zone battle, take on Queens Park Rangers in London next week and look to get back to winning ways.

Everton 2-0 Queens Park Rangers

Tim Howard and Everton defeated Queens Park Rangers and are now just three points from a Champions League position.

The American ‘keeper went the distance and recorded three saves in the match.

Everton were victorious with two goals, one in each half, over an uninspired QPR side.

Darron Gibson opened the scoring in the 40th minute when his shot from outside the box was deflected by QPR's Clint Hill and found the back of the net.

In the 56th minute the Toffees doubled the lead as a corner kick lead to a Sylvain Distin header that was knocked home by Victor Anichebe.

Everton continues their quest for next season's Champions League when they take on Arsenal in midweek action.

Leeds United 2-1 Sheffield Wednesday

Stuart Holden played 72 minutes but Sheffield Wednesday went down to Leeds United in a pivotal Championship battle.

The loss now puts the Owls just four points above the relegation zone with four games left in the season.

Jermaine Johnson opened the scoring for Wednesday, but two goals from Luke Varney in the 63rd and 69th minute gave Leeds the big win.

The Owls look to bounce back on Tuesday against Blackpool.

Jonathan Spector did not dress in Birmingham City's draw with Leicester City. Zak Whitbread did not make the Foxes' roster.

Conor Doyle did not dress in Derby County's loss to Blackburn.

Tim Ream dressed but did not feature in Bolton's win over Bristol City. The victory puts Bolton into a playoff position.

Seb Hines did not make the game day roster in Middlesbrough's loss to Brighton & Hove Albion.

Frank Simek was not in the 18 in Carlisle United's draw with Preston North End.

Mike Grella made a second half appearance in Scunthorpe United's draw with Walsall.
